You need to flick the switch fast. You can see the redstone is set in a circle. You should see the bright pulse going around the circle continuously.

the clock at the gold farm is automatic, it doesnt need to be reset or anything. Just climb up the ladder.

Is it worth building another 'minecart ladder' to the top of the gold farm?

The slime farm is 95% complete, theres about another 10 stacks worth of cobble to remove, and then the glass fences on the platforms.

Ignore the lower platform for now, if this becomes an issue with the canals, i will just fill it in.

What projects is everyone else working on?

I'm working on something to build in my hangar on creative. Continuing the big build on the castle working on walls and paths. Started work on a pretty large bridge also just west of my castle. Minecart network is progressing as well, got most my little spots joined up now.

I'm starting a big build based on the X-design of mob farm. The original one I did didn't work to well, I chose the wrong location... This one is in the middle of deep ocean so should be much easier to get up to big yields...

Hi Nathan, I would welcome you to the server but Scarble is in charge of the whitelist, it's up to him.

The build's at approx -400, -500. I've just completed the spawn pads, all that's left is to excavate a huge amount of stone to clear out all possible alternative spawning areas.. My idea is to have an empty bowl-shaped volume underground, with the sea kept out with a flat glass 'skylight' at the original sea-bed level. I'll move my beacon in which will speed things up a tad, but it's still going to be a bd of a job.....

It's me actually. hehe I've added him now. Be aware that I think we're all working on stuff miles away from spawn so don't expect to see much going on round there. When I have time to play it's usually through the night as I work nights the rest of the time so you won't often see me about.

Sorry to everyone, new to this thread. Is this Pistonheads Minecraft server I hear speak of vanilla, or mods? I might be interested in popping in.

redface Just thrown my sword in the lava by accident whilst fumbling with the keys trying to keep myself alive doing some caving in a ravine. What a fking noob. rolleyes And how hard is it to get looting anything on a sword ffs. Just wasted 26 diamonds on stty enchants. Talking of diamonds, where tf are they? I'm sure someone's moved them all from Y11 as all I get is frikkin stone, redstone and coal. Very rare to even see iron ore at that level now and gold ore seems to be even rarer than diamond. Thankfully gold isn't an issue but diamonds and iron are a pain to get.

I hope there's an 'iron' villager in 1.8. yes

Do you not use the iron farm? I can get a block or iron (not a stack, a block) in about an hour. and thats using the kill switch, not a looting sword or anything.

for the diamonds, dunno, just start a new mine somewhere else??

My last diamond mining adventure was at the clay biome, going out towards a big stretch of sea and it was a cracking loot. You can see the spot from the top of the ladder at slime farm.

I don't use the iron farm because it takes too long to do anything productive, ie. by your own admission - 1 block of iron per hour is only 9 ingots. Which video did you copy as the design is different from ones I've seen.
