Hello,
Thanks everyone so much for your offers. Incredibly kind of you all. We've decided to go with the first offer of the Lotus Evora.
At this stage the car is still rare and I don't believe has featured in any series before, so we don't have any possibility of an audience drawing a comparison to anything. This is specifically why we havent gone down the Aston Martin route this time - ignoring the fact that I would love to have had one on set, dream car and all that...
To those that offered very unique cars, thank ou so much, I would have loved to but I was already talking to other people by then and it would have been very unfair to have wasted people's time and generosity. I hope you understand.
Thanks all so much!
I'll post up the production shots in a couple of weeks.

I am two miles from Petworth and have a bright orange Rover Mini Cooper and there isn't much more British than that is there? Photo from Good Friday's Horsham Piazza Italia Italian Job run 2012

Oh dear...
Unfortunately the loan of the lovely Lotus Evora has fallen through with only a few days to go...
Is anyone still able to lend us their car for the 2 days?
The dates are the 27th of April & 2nd May.
The Venue is Petworth House, Petworth.
The car would be needed from 10.30am both days and would be parked within the secured grounds of Petworth House while not being used.
We estimate you particular element of filming will be finished by 5 on both days, it may well be earlier than that but that's a reasonable estimate.
Be great to hear from you... only getting slightly nervous now...
Cheers!

I saw (what I think was) a mint condition, baby blue Sprite yesterday on the back of a lowloader that had a TV and Film cars logo on it. Anything to do with this?

I popped round to see my Mum one evening and I'm certain there was an Evora being driven by a welly wearing farm type on Emmerdale. Is this why you've ditched the Evora?
