Cancelled without issue via the online form. I would never knowingly drive in a bus lane. York need so sort their signage out to end this farce!

I'm pleased I googled Lendal Bridge.
clap Good outcome!

Looks like the Council have been on one big trolling mission:

You should read some of the comments on the press website! There's apparently a troll up voting the council/green agenda comments, not many of them, and down voting all others.

A quick glance at the numbers tends to make it fairly obvious though.

Re: The picture in that link - are you supposed to go in the direction of the arrow to avoid the bridge or is the bridge in the direction of the arrow?

The arrow refers straight to YCC bank.

Cash or cheques are equally acceptable to pay for their Xmas party.

Did you see that muppet councillor on the news tonight? He said you can get from Micklegate Bar to the hospital in 4 minutes during the day yikes

This kind of stupidity explains a lot.

Fairly true to type Mark, wasn't he. I fear for you lot over York way, because this is likely to be the start of more. We visited shortly after the closure started and got a ticket for our trouble. Never saw a sign, although I was fairly pre-occupied avoiding the cyclists wink. I suppose the only saving grace is they only did me once; I drove out the way I drove in, so actually crossed twice that day.

They are well into it Oliver, they are planting 20mph signs all over the shop. Many in cul de sacs and places where 20 doesn't happen. Poor signs, no lights or just invisible.

In the next breath they talk about cuts, maybe they shouldn't waste money in the first place!

How much are they spending to administer this farce? I see they've outsourced the ticketing to Northampton!

On the other hand, how many people simply pay the £30 as I almost did?

Originally they said £120k.

However now saying £600k.

Which is absolute madness, shows how rubbish their tendering process is.

Appeal refused. frown

Might as well go and appeal the appeal , make them work for their money. Suggestions on appeal content welcome.

Yes.

The appeals first time have been getting refused, but on second appeal I haven't heard of many getting refused.

There's a Facebook group, which have had some details of what works at the appeal level.

I think they're posting them up.

Liebour have blocked a democratic vote on re-opening by talking until time ran out.

Clearly scared of democracy and letting the people have a say in their city.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Bunch of pinko tts.

I sent my appeal in by post so was surprised to get a letter telling me that I now owed £90 as I hadn't responded.

I wrote back and told them that I had sent in an appeal.

Thier reply contained this "...you are advised to make sure your appeal to the traffic penalty tribunal was received and is being processed"

Now I suppose I could have sent it 'signed for' but how the hell am I supposed to 'make sure' that it's being processed?

Not sure about them being pinko tts but they are definitely idiots!
