I think not, but Sheffield & Hallamshire Motor Club still does one in June at the Traveller's Rest pub just before Hope, opposite the road to Bradwell. Good 'un, it is.
Unfortunately, due to a small minority of nutters, this has been cancelled this year until they can sort out the crowd and traffic control. It should be back on next year. As you say, always a cracking night out with some fantastic metal on displayThat's a shame.
Bit of a bad luck area of late. One death in a head on with a lorry near the Rising Sun and a nasty off performed by a young lady last weekend, halfway along the Bamford straight, when she left the road and hit a tree whilst texting, leaving the car and engine in different places. Also, woman drowned in the river near Hope and that lassie killed on a bike on Winnats a couple of weeks ago.

Been out and about in the car for a drive today, hope, castleton, bradwell etc. seen some stunning cars including a ferrari f40 (parked up on the back of a trailer sadly).
Might have found a decent place too, just out of castleton before you turn left to go up winnats pass, if you carry on ahead instead of turning left theres a very long and wide road which is a dead end so very quiet, some amazing views out toward castleton valley too.
Anyone out in the car today too?

I was out yesterday too going over the snake to Manchester and some stunners were showing their flesh! Followed a ferrari for a while and also saw Aston Martins and a stunning Porsche GT3 among others

Yeh it would be busy in the day but a late summers evening it would be empty i reckon? Ahhh, almost went snake pass myself but thought i'd go somewhere i usually dont, looks like i missed out now.
