Anyone doing the "Mini Miglia" next month?
Discussion
"Fully working" is the only entry criteria, no need for anything flash!
For photos we've no idea of the route or timings until Saturday, except the start and end, and that "lunch" is probably Hawes Creamery. Although if you park yourself on ANY tiny road between the M6 and Colne we're probably going to be on it at some point...

I watched Rally Mexico as preparation. I learned that Kubica is not a good role model (or is that roll model?).
I'm finally ready. The car has lethally slippy tyres on the back and I have an injured clutch foot from an altercation with a large wind blown gate tonight. Perfect preparation
Annoyingly my formerly clean car is covered in wind blown grit too, not that that'll matter much once we start.
See you all in the morning!

A couple more pics here.
Made it back home with about 10Kg of mud stuck to the car and a crack on the front number plate, no more damage than that for me.
We made a complete botch of the test. I hope I do better tomorrow at the Bolton Autosolo.
Some of those roads were amazing. Having things like the fords, the stupidly narrow bridge and that bizarre road right up the central reservation of the M6 made it interesting.
Found the last sections turned into a bit of a procession but I guess that's inevitable as you get nearer civilisation?
Only regret is we didn't get to mix with more of the other cars during the run.
Looks like a few people were pretty close to falling off the edge of the ford, I'm sure the photographer was sat pretty much where the Mini ended up when I came through? Love the wall of water being jetted into the air by my number plate!
I was knackered today but still had a good day at the Autosolo. Put in some good times but one too many mistakes to get anywhere. I think I've spent over 12 hours in the Elise this weekend, thank god the seats fit me.
I've just put it away after cleaning half a farm yard off it.

I'd like to have seen that. One thing I meant to ask - how on earth did we get to the vicinity of the first ford before you??
By the time you saw us go past you in the wrong direction we'd already missed the junction, stopped for a piss, gone back, headed towards the ford then turned around because we thought we gone wrong again - then we saw you. But you were ahead of us by several minutes leaving the test?

Uploaded a bit of video. Not the most exciting, but gives a flavour of our day.

Good spot. 21st running of the tour, 75 miles, Sunday 27th April 2014.
Looks like a different approach to the Miglia in that it's much shorter, no tests (although the Miglia only had one in the end) and entry is restricted to cars loosely defined as "classic". I guess it'll be rather less intense and rather more genteel?
Still would be fun but I think I'll pass on this one. More details for anyone else who might fancy it:
