My lease car is off back later next week and despite it being 5 years old and done 90,000 miles we've been told need to get the slightly kerbed alloys seen to.

Does anyone know of any alloy refurb people in and around the Ilkley/ Skipton area? May also look at North Leeds/ Bratfurd.

I know it's West a bit, but can recommend Lancaster Alloys based in Kirkby Lonsdale.

I used CAS some years ago for the DS wheels. Wasn't that impressed tbh, not the best prep had gone into them. May have been a one off though as lot of people rate them here.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I think I've found someone in Skipton (mostly as it's convenient), just waiting on a call back.

Yes but they're cheap - pretty much what you want in this instance!

If it's a lease car going back then I would say the same.

Had two sets done by CAS and have since had several mates have their wheels done by them. It seems that if your just going for boggo silver the quality can be a bit hit and miss but if your having something a bit different they're always spot on!

Just as an update, had the wheels done by Skipton Ford for £55 plus vat each. Service not too bad and was local so didn't have too much faffing around, plus as its a lease car I just needed a quick basic job doing. I spoke to a few places and they were looking at £60 plus Vat so cost isn't that bad, I doubt I would have got it much cheaper without hassle.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Good to know.

What did the 55 get you? Did you have to deliver bare wheels or did they remove and replace tyres etc?

I just dropped the car in to the garage as you would for a service, then picked it up in the afternoon.

How bad were they?

Did they just arrange a smart repair on your behalf, rather than a full refurb?
