South Yorkshire have a White BMW 1 series that I've seen parked up waiting at traffic 'incidents' in the past few weeks.

As well as the anonymous white 1-series above I saw a very plain looking sliver Mondeo estate (very dark privacy glass in the rear) on Sheffield Parkway this morning with blues lit. The reg started YV12.

I also potted the Silver 3 series touring yesterday in the same area.

East bound, past junction 33 on the M62, I saw a Camera Van along with 4 marked up Motorway Patrol cars parked so they could not be seen by on coming traffic.

Not sure this is right but whilst the local news was on I'm sure I just missed that West Yorkshire police now use an unmarked arctic truck cab filming drivers on the motorways. Think it was silver and didn't have a trailer.

Is eating/drinking when driving illegal? I've been nicked for using my phone once and i'm a good boy on that front these days but have to admit to an odd butty/bottle of pop on longer journeys still confused

Safe driving and riding needs concentration. Avoid distractions when driving or riding such as

loud music (this may mask other sounds)
trying to read maps
inserting a cassette or CD or tuning a radio
arguing with your passengers or other road users
eating and drinking

I'm guessing the fuzz would do you for driving without due care and attention or careless driving if you are eating something and as a result you end up swerving about or don't appear to be in control of the car. All down to discretion I suppose

A friend spotted an unmarked R1000 pulling someone over in N. Yorks. Might be wrong about the bike model as not a biker.

I can also confirm the silver BMW estate YK12BRF too. Saw it twice on 2 different evenings last week dealing with customers on the M1 round Wakefield. It looks like a sporty variant too as the alloys are large and "dished", like an M model perhaps.

Spotted YK12BRF today on the M621 with a customer. It's a 330d and looks stupidly standard so I'm guessing it catches a lot of people out.

Just seen two uniformed BIB filling up with fuel at BP garage on Pontefract Road, Stourton.

Car was a darker blue Vauxhall Insignia, Reg YJ59 TCY.
