Great run - well done guys !
P.S. anyone get a shot of the twit at start that crashed in the car park - don't think he was with the group
No he was just a random guy (17 but looked about 12) that decided to pull out in front of someone. Kim & I stayed back a bit as it happened right in front of us. End up leaving 20 mins late but meant we had a great clear run along the Dukes Pass P.S. anyone get a shot of the twit at start that crashed in the car park - don't think he was with the group
Great day & superb weather, thanks for organising Barry!
Well done Baz.... good run, route and weather.
Day started well and made ambush point in plenty of time. Saw the lead group and pulled out in to a gap about 5 cars from front. Unfortunately i couldn't find 2nd gear in my excitment and had to go for 3rd. Sorry to beemer and johnny who nearly ran me over!!
Johnny then splatted my car with stones and debris. 2nd mistake of the day was actually trying to keep up with johnny over the pass.
Had a good run with clarky and the blue R32 and i think another beemer, but not the one series. Past a few bikes through glen Dochart which they weren't happy about.
Made Green welly in one piece. Likes the nsx..... been years since i've seen one.
Restart..... took it easy for the first 5 mins to let the car fully warm back up. Caught back up with the R32 and the merc sl55. Got caught in some traffic and never seen the golf again. We were passed by some bikes, but did the honour back to them. Quite funny..... one banana car getting flung about with clarky on my heels. All i could see out my rear mirror was the guy on the bike hanging off all ways to keep with the pace. His two friends were nowhere to be seen. About 5-6 miles from lunch i lost my brakes. If you passed my and wondered what i was doing it's cause i thought i'd bust a brake pipe or something. I didn't know you could boil dot5. Decided to head for home after lunch with clarky for company. I think we both surprised a db9 just after Crainlarich. Brakes felt not bad, but a fluid change will be getting done. There are no leaks and no fluid loss.
Had fun and first run since the arrival of the wee one. Nice to see lots of nice new faces and catch up with some old ones.

Had a great day, it was my first run and will certainly will be joining us again, if I'm welcome.
I also came back via Inverary/Rest and Be Thankful.
We did wonder if that would be a better way back as the A82 was pretty busy but the first section from Connel was great.I also came back via Inverary/Rest and Be Thankful.
Cheers,
Mike.
I also had my first run with you guys in the lighter of the green Westfields and had such fun. First time up the Dukes pass and hats off to Andy with the Subaru for a cracking run there.
Sad end to the day however was having to drive from Crianlarach to Tarbet wih no clutch as the cable snapped, and watching a whole load of cars passing while I was waiting for the recovery truck.
Not worried though. It was a fab day and the weather was awesome.
Some really nice cars there as well. Just a shame the roads were filled with cyclists or Sunday drivers with their caravans and motorhomes.

Agreed! Thoroughly enjoyed the dukes pass. Would have liked to try it in a westfield. Great fun in the subaru but the brakes took a pounding.
Hope you dont have too much to do to get it back on the road for your next run.
Also got a good run with Kim in the elise on the homeward journey.
Thanks again for organising had a great day.

Can't believe I went the wrong way and missed the dukes pass sounds like a lot of fun was has there.
Good to meet some new people too.

For those going enjoy the Gumbaw run
Must admit after 280 miles I am now rather knackered!

Some machine you have there, awesome pickup from any speed.
Great day guys! Good way to test out my new suspension, may take a few more runs before I get it setup for my liking/uk bumpy roads. Had to dash back to switch into my shopping trolley as the missus was hungry. Hope dinner was nice, the place looked good as I drove by(not as nice as the cars today!).
