West Coast Road Run: 29 April 2012

Fantastic run, very very good, everything perfect, weather, cars, company...everything.
As regards the crash on the Erskine - I didn't stop at Cameron house so would have got there
before most people but there was a car with hazards on stopped just as you got onto bridge,
was that involved, as cars were arriving at it pretty quick after the first corner and having
to take avoiding action. There was a plod van and car on the opposite carriageway as well, just
parked up.

I take it sumone did?
Yeah,
The chassis was snapped, I was directly behind the avenis about 100 yards away. He went from 60 to 0 within seconds. Both guys were okay, one was a OAP NED lolz. As usual he had no insurance and had HASH in the car, What A Wally lolz. But it was a really heavy impact. The Ned was still in the car, he never even sat at the side of the road. Think he ran out of fuel. We had to call Police and wait to give a statement. It was CRAZZZZYYYYYY, but i do enjoy a good crash, as long as im not involved. Ha.
Have a good one

FINAL PRE RUN POINTS
Anyone who still wants the route - you have to email me through my profile.
Tomorrow should be a good day if everyone observes these points:
1. Despite the supercar jibes there are still some very quick cars running
2. There is no need or expectation to keep up with anyone
3. There is no need to go faster than the speed limit
4. Know the limits of your car
5. Know the limits of your driving
6. If in doubt slow down
7. Be polite and considerate to other road users
If you observe the above we won't have a thread like this
Enjoy the day

Thank you to today's runners. An epic turn out and an amazing variety of nice metal despite the lack of supercars!! .....
Good driving standards as far as I could see and even that nice officer in Lochearnhead wished us well.....something about Shocks and library books overdue??
Anyways - good to meet yet more newbies - hope to see you all again soon.
Cheers B

No Lee this time, just a 6'3" TP waving at me to pull-in, the benefit of driving within the posted limit was the subject of conversation - nothing more than that. And Steve you didn't get caught this time did you? Was Lee not waving at you to slow down ?
