(Audi @ 3:45 and a van just after.) People had parked their car there and never picked them up before they shut the road. They just lift them off the street.

I have to admit, while I loved everyone on the trip and if I was going again tomorrow I'd invite everyone back, the dinner on the last night was great. I don't know if it was the champagne, or the relief after sorting out the hotel? Hearing you say to the hotel "deux hommes ne seront pas partager un lit" made me laugh.

As our tour's videographer, no one will see this year's vid until Christmas probably. I will have an awful lot of swearing and drunkeness to edit out. Yours looks so hardcore PH. If we meet you up in the big country, you boys better not be Teetotal. Heres the link to our pityful effort last year http://youtu.be/hyvCKoKsuAUI may need to point out that bald Lambo boy is on an Autobahn at 198 all nice and legal like. I still got to the hotel an hour before him!

Yeah the hotel was a bit surreal when we arrived with nobody else staying, and when Baz said you had gone to the best western we took the car expecting a 4 mile journey which was 200 yards. Thought a funny moment was when my wiper decided to stick at 142 in the rain we decided to come off and hit the nearest OPc for the warranty. Of course tha sat nav was s t and I said to you and shocks " where the f k are we"? You said "we are at Porsche centre zentrum" and I said "is zentrum in Bavaria?" glad my French was a bit better

Right, that's us home this afternoon after an extended Gumbaw trip covering 16 days, 3000 miles, 8 countries and 13 border crossings! An epic trip with superb roads/scenery, great company and loads of fantastic memories. Thanks to all the fellow Gumbaw'ers who made it an awesome holiday. Here are a few pics... Haven't had chance to sort/edit them and haven't got a fancy camera but you'll get the idea. Day 1 - Glasgow to Hull Meeting at Bothwell. First of many fuel stops! Waiting to board the ferry. Day 2 - Rotterdam to Stuttgart Stop over at the Ring. Day 3 - Stuttgart to Innsbruck Porsche museum and factory tour - both of which were excellent & would highly recommend! A rare moment when most of the group were together! Day 4 - Innsbruck to Turin At the top of the Fluela Pass. On the way up the San Bernardino Pass - an awesome road! And back the other side.

I'm sure one of our resident Scottish Lambo' drive will be along in a moment to dispel the myth? Al-ambo? A wee Clyde tunnel while you're here?

Steve - we need to show these boys what a proper swally is... wee trip to torridon... lock in... hangover... seem to remember last time Baz and JC still have a story to tell - piss holes in the snow is best way to describe baz's eyes next morning. We may even get some decent driving in.

Having the only car on tour with a proper boot, already means that I have to haul my mates kecks all over creation. Theres no feckin way Im carrying all their Golf sticks too. No reason I couldnt take a shotgun or two though...... theres a thought. All I would need is a German Shepherd, and we could re film the opening scene from I am Legend. Got some deer up there?
