Not mine.

Popped over to a neighbour's home for coffee this morning. I saw this and thought of you lot.

He has plans to refurbish it. But, lacks the funds. So, it sits.

Regular MOTs up until Covid - but lots of failures and advisories (can't remember seeing so many) over the years.

Hope it gets back on the road - but I think the longer it waits around, the less likely this is.

Thought I'd recreate a photo I took 30+ years ago (although not back at Goodwood)

My Lotus S3, owned for 8 years. Restored it from a proper barn find.

Beautiful. The steel wheels and hubcaps on the Elan have never been bettered IMO. They are perfectly matched to the car.

The later centre locks are clunky by comparison, even if they look faster;)

I agree that's peak Elan, right down to the hub cap wheels, the round rear arches and the lovely spindly wood rimmed wheel. Give me that over a S4 / Sprint any day.
