Taxe d'habitation to rise on 2nd homes

Sarkozy proposed something similar which didn't happen so looks like they are trying again. Hopefully the French will rebel against it as there are plenty of them with second homes who will be affected. Seems completely unjust as with a second home you already contribute more than others anyway overall - we pay the same for our tax for the 8 weeks we use the house each year as we would if we lived there full time but barely use the resources possible as a local resident.
