Sag, they bagged the two fastest lap times. These were the only comps they were allowed to win anything for.

Been told the times will be out in a couple of weeks, what I do know is the Sag that got the quickest time got held up alot by a tow truck bringing someone off the track whilst on the racing line of the biggest corner on the track! - (but I am not bittter LOL)

Just the sprint Colin, black flagged in free driving for noise so the Sag boys had a chance to win something .....

LOL, it was fun being behind you for half a lap as you forgot you were on road tyres, going through the sound trap without lifting and then spinning out.

It was John that Spun out
Terminator did not do any laps as he had his Aston there
A Sag won the fastest lap but got held up big time

Ah, so Mr. S pushed it a bit too hard, eh? Mrs. S wasn't too pleased I guess.

Of course a Sag won the fastest lap, with all that extra power.
Must say I'm very surprized they didn't win the sprint.

Shame I wasn't there to hear the mighty LS7 !

Was not allowed to win anything else, - too modified. Sprint was ok but worried about the drive shafts, I would hope I would have been the quickest.

too modified? what's that, it's either modified or not, what a nonsense.
would love to see/hear your motor sometime, am thinking about a bigger engine too, either Don's S6 4.5 or an LS7.

Did not really get it myself either. D class cars include all cars that are Tuscans, Sags, 350's etc and anything with semi track tyres on etc. These are now allowed to win prizes in sprint, slalom and him climb but there was a prize for the fastest lap.
The reason I say I do not get it as Neil in his Sag got a trophy for his Sprint but his car is standard apart from being a 4.3. Graham V’s car was wearing semi track tyres like mine with a 4.3 so he did not get included either apart from the fastest lap.
Fair enough I suppose.

Whatever it was a great day.

Maybe they'll get it sorted out for next year. If they want a class for modified cars that would seem like a good idea as long as they define modified as I doubt any TVR is as it left the factory. To exclude cars because they have a stickier compound rubber than others seems harsh as long as they are road legal and not race tyres. While I'm moaning it would seem that the calibration of the circuit's sound monitoring equipment requires attention as well as the way it is implemented. Its a long way to travel from the northern reaches of the UK to be put off the track for 0.1db! It would also have been good to have the schedule beforehand to know which tyres and silencers would be acceptable before traveling. Apart from that the weather was great and so was Spa.

hi Ian,

With your exhaust ... no wonder. Did you have extra silencers?

(see you in Sept?)

Had some made by ACT but wasn't allowed to fit them.
Just finalising dates for September Gerjo.

John, I agree but to be taken off the track for being .1 of a DB is incredible.
