I have built, stripped down & rebuilt the Defender 4 times.
I still can't get the sodding thing to move on its wheels.
Gave up & put it on a shelf!!!
So what you’re saying is they’ve made it ultra realistic?I still can't get the sodding thing to move on its wheels.
Gave up & put it on a shelf!!!
I keep meaning to strip mine down and try to get it working, I'm sure I saw a guide online for what needs to be done but can't find it anywhere.

Not normally a Technic builder, more a horder.
But i look forward to this to go with the shuttle, lander and Apollo sets.
Not sure on this one. Was really disappointed with the NASA Mars rover thing in both build experience and display looks. Might be a purchase if it’s discounted at some point. But i look forward to this to go with the shuttle, lander and Apollo sets.

Just visited a friend and he asked my advice on selling his late-70s Technical Lego. He brought out a box that he had liberated from his parents’ house I think, containing boxed examples of 6 sets plus 5 supplementary sets: blue go-kart, yellow forklift, red car chassis, yellow bulldozer, red tractor and blue motorbike and sidecar. Still in their boxes, with intact plastic trays etc though built and dismantled (not many times looking at the pieces).
I think old Technical sets are less valuable than normal LEGO from the era (yellow castle, space sets for instance) but the car chassis and motorbike are worth perhaps £150 each and the rest maybe £40-60 each. Supplementary sets seem very low value. Anyone had recent experience of selling a collection like this? He asked me as a Lego fanboy but I don’t buy it to sell on, so have no idea if Bricklink is the only sensible place to use.
Despite my own Technical sets from the era being in slightly worse condition, nostalgia means they are the ones I want to keep. I did say to my friend that I’d struggle to part with them if they’d been from my own childhood.
