I used to live in South London and frequented a few of the different Morley's, I was always liked it for what it was. I'll be looking for this sauce, thanks smile
Morley's is elite, will definitely be picking up some of this.

Not overly dirty, and actually really good (fresh crisp fries, hot/fresh chicken, though meant to be zinger tower, but not overly spicy which was disappointing)

Not eaten since breakfast - hence went large, with bbq bites as a side.

The chips must have excited the chef too as he appears to have nutted all over them.

Very nice.

Tell me, is there any element of garlic in the crumb, or just plain breadcrumbs?

I'm inclined to have a go at this.
No it's just plain breadcrumbs - when making them at home, i've tended to use panko crumbs as I find them easier to crisp up. Strictly speaking, for it to be 'traditional' they should just be plain old regular breadcrumbs, but as long as it's a meat escalope smothered in Bech and then cheese you're on the right track smile

And that was a “large”

First time I’ve been there rather than to Poppies or Golden Union when in the centre and fancy fish and chips. Both of which are cheaper, higher quality and more quantity

KFC Chips are the worst of all the big fast food chains. Floppy, tasteless things. Which is a shame as I love their burgers and popcorn bites.

i used to really like KFC's chips until they started changing their recipe more times than people change their socks. Worst thing however is the seemlingly tiny portion of chips, even if you order a large. You'd be mistaken for thinking the chips are the most expensive item..

The tiny chip portions along with the rapidly increasing cost of everything on their menu means they have gone from a regular to seldom for me.

Yeah but then so does golden union being just off Oxford street but that place is much better and at least a fiver cheaper. Tourist levy is an unfortunate part of central London eating. Glad I can expensive it and won’t go back

Long time salivating admirer of this thread... finally got round to eating some filth. 3 way mixed kebab with onions, chilli and garlic sauce. Excuse Peroni was out of decent beer.

Had a place near me reopened under new management so I thought I'd try them when I was passing. The woman assured me the fish in those 'warming shelves' they use, (don't know what they're actually called), was fresh out of the fryer! It wasn't! Dry as hell, tough, chewy piece of crap! Chips were soggy, mushy peas were watery! It wasn't £30 but I swore I'd never darken their doors again, bds! The New Management lasted a month before it closed down again. Rumour was they were a family of 'Itinerant Tinkers' wink Why they thought they'd make good fish 'n chips I don't know. Probably attracted by the cash factor!

That is a particularly well packed gyro.
