The beat you describe is not dissimilar to M83 - Midnight City. But that doesn't account for the Hey-a bit...

OP, it would help if you could tell us where you heard it - Sky coverage or BBC? Race show or build-up? Quali? What sort of tempo is it - fast or slow? What's the rhythm it's following?
Can you hum it and upload a clip?
Otherwise this thread is going nowhere.

I think it accompanied a montage of last seasons F1, on this seasons BBC opener, but I can't be sure.
I started singing it with a mate in a pub over the weekend and two other people joined in - it's not an obscure track by any means, although nobody can name the track or artist!
I'll have a rummage on the BBC iPlayer and see if I can locate it.

Isn't there an app that you can sing into and it tells you the song? I thought id heard of one on iPhone If you have one.
