I have a Surf Shark VPN, I've connected to different countries, India, Ghana, Turkey etc but it still shows as £12.99 GBP to upgrade.
I don't want to change my location on my account as it says you can only change this once every 12 months.
Is that what i need to do ?
Anyone any ideas ?
Thanks
Set up a new account, also no risk of getting your existing account banned I don't want to change my location on my account as it says you can only change this once every 12 months.

I tried different countries, Turkey India etc but was getting a page saying "We couldn't verify your country " etc
I had previously tried Ghana this morning and it wouldn't work but it just gone through OK, here's my process -
I connected my VPN to Ghana
Went to YouTube
Accounts & Memberships
Upgrade to Premium, The Ghana price was listed
Then it asked for payment
I used a UK Mastercard but I had to fill the address in, I used a Ghana Hotel
All went through !

I tried this morning using Ukraine. All went okay until it declined my cards saying it had to be issued in same country. Perhaps they’ve got wise to it?
Try on a desktop browser maybe. Or type in the card details instead of using Google Pay (which might have your UK address stored).Edited by LordGrover on Friday 26th April 12:27

Let's consider the following:
Google account A: my current Google account
YouTube account B: my Ghanan/Argentinian doppelganger
My Google account (account A) is used across all my Android as well as Windows and Linux. I use it somewhat properly, I have a decent sized cloud drive, I use docs, calendar etc as well as Gmail. It's a family plan so Mrs D's devices also back up to my cloud.
If my Shield, phone, tablet, PC etc are using account B for YouTube and account A for everything else, how nicely does it play? Do you find yourself switching accounts or having to authenticate all the time?
I'm trying to avoid getting in a position where I replace annoying ads with a broken Google (and I apologise for using this next word) "experience".
