What would hurt worst is if the whole world ignored her. A ban wouldn’t bother her at all. She’d keep driving anyway.

Jesus Christ.

She is an absolute piss taker.
No finesse either - look at the way the nose dived when she stopped her RRS at the pump.

But how does she keep getting away with it when us peasants have our lives ruined for much minor infringements?

This. She can complain that life is unfair and that she is being discriminated against. That means she is not being treated how everyone else is. So let it be, treat her like everyone else, put her inside as that is what the system is for to rehabilitate criminals. 5 bans, drug use, crashing her car, poor financial management - all life choices of her own. Take away the choice - give her a custodial sentence. It is hardly making an example of her, just what most likely everyone else would get. No more discrimination then.

The big question of course is whether desperate TV channels will continue to peddle her brand with interviews & appearances for god knows what reason, helping to fund her continued lifestyle of utter disregard for the law. It’s be refreshing if they finally jacked it in.

£750,000 unpaid tax bill, she'll be peddling her son out again soon.

Her "fans" and viewers don't really care about driving offences or unpaid taxes, they are the sort of things that they can sympathise with. The TV channels don't care so long as it gets viewers.

That's exactly the problem, there will always be the crap TV/cable channels, along with her halfwit fans, that will keep the money flowing in for her. A hideous woman on all counts.

So it's cheaper to get fined for driving around without insurance by at least a factor of 10.

Makes you wonder why the law abiding bother.

In fact being a bankrupt puts her in a relatively enviable position in as much as she's pretty much untouchable. If you've got nothing to take away apart from liberty the authorities can't touch you. She's a single mother and carer so assuming there was a jail place available it'd be highly unlikely she'd get any significant time.

Makes you wonder who the idiots are.

She's the one that's winning though.

They don't want to give her a custodial sentence as she's the sole family provider with multiple kids + carer responsibilities for Harvey.

They can't fine her because when she doesn't pay she's got nothing to take away.

She's beating the system right now.
HarryH is pretty much on the money here. She's taking the cheapest course of action and there seems to be little done to curtail her activities. Short of in some way physically preventing her from driving then prison seems to be the only option.

It does indeed make me wonder who the idiots are, and I don't think I like the answer.

I don’t get how she’s avoided a custodial sentence for all of her law breaking. Why are the courts so afraid to put her away?

Personally I think she’s absolute scum and the fact she’s still walking around a free woman is a clear display of how poor and ineffective our legal system is.

Driving offences serious, but not serious enough for prison just yet, under current guidelines. People don't get locked up for debt any more.

Don't think it would achieve anything but martyr her.

More subtle ways to skin this particular cat, follow her income and debt recovery would be more suitable.

I imagine it would cost the taxpayer more to send her down. Plus she'd just use it to sell her story when she was released.
