Ha, thanks. My first and only pair (so far). Didn't used to be a fan (same with the tassel loafers) but thought I'd give them a go. I reckon they'll look good with tan/cream chinos come summertime.
Having seen that picture, I think they are better in suede than black leather.

Consider me surprised!
Monks are inherently more casual than an oxfords so they suit suede. In leather, I think they look better in brown (and are much more usable) than black.

Well I couldn’t carry it off, but you can’t deny it’s striking! Thought it looked good, personally, given the “event” nature of the Oscars.

Can't say I could disagree with him on any of his points.

He’s also a shill for those dreadful Daniel Wellington watches, which tells you all you need to know about him.

Back on track: what does everyone think about double monk strap black shoes for work with a suit? My girlfriend hates them but I quite like them. Too try hard ?
I wear those to work with a suit, they get a mixed response TBH. hehe
If worn with narrow leg trousers, they make that 'fashion victim' look, even more unbalanced. Worn with the new wider leg trousers, they could look damn good. Almond toe, Oxfords are a winner, if you want to look understated, and classy .

I guess not if your idea of well dressed is to look like a cartoon.
