I can part fill my mouth will cold custard and fire it about 3 meters. I have completed at county level and was beaten to second place with a 3.17 against my 3.01.
This made me burst out laughing when I'm supposed to be working. What a sentence.
If only it was a 3.14, would have been custard pi…

Not a characteristic limited to myself only but have very strong face recognition....whether it's people I knew from 20/30 years back at school or randomly seen somewhere and then remembered...best way to describe it is I am automatically 'recognising' faces without trying. Can't do much with it...apart from maybe being a security guard, monitoring CCTV etc

I was reading the "Simple things you can't do" thread and it got me thinking about the weird talents / abilities we must have that nobody else seems to possess.

Mine is a strange one:

If I put something in the oven and set a timer for, let's say 30 mins, after about 29 mins and 30 seconds I'll get a strange feeling that makes me get up and ask Alexa how long is left on my timer. It is always under a minute and usually when I get up I see the 10 second countdown on the Alexa screen.

I suppose I just have a very accurate perception of time, but it's weird how often I get it right. (no I don't look at clocks etc throughout the 30 mins).

What's yours?
I have this too.
Unconsciously, it just occurs to me that the timer on the oven should have gone off by now and I’ll get up to check I’ve put it on.
I stand up and the mrs says, ‘where, are you going?” - just to check the oven and beep beep goes off.
How we laugh…it’s Hollywood round here smile

One handed, 2 finger bra opening.

I'm not sure how many guys can do this but all the women that have ever had the pleasure, make me out like I'm a magician or something after I do it.
Hahaha.
I thought every 17 year old perfected this?
Front openers though, entirely different challenge…

Google 'Super recogniser'. I think I am one too.

The Police/Security services highly desire people with this ability if it is at a high enough level.

I seem to be able , for no apparent reason , check the mileage on a vehicle just as it reaches a specific number such as 40,000 miles , 50,000 etc. At no other time would I take any notice of the mileage and I also need my reading glasses on to have a good squint at it ,so it’s not like I can see it clearly in my peripheral vision. Can’t explain it , it’s just like a sixth sense kicks in . Weird.

I can put on and take off polo shirts and sweaters without removing my glasses.

It's probably more absent mindedness than a rare ability because I have been known to start washing my face with them on. That first upward glance at the mirror to see my obscured reflection usually confirms my suspicions.

A while back I looked up Super recognisers (mentioned by Baldchap above) took the online 'test', think it was a university who is/was researching super recognisers, can't remember my score but did ok smile
However unsure whether there is a viable 'career'....it would be a significant career change (early 40's) though I probably need one based on current trajectory!

Pah! My school mates and I could do it at 12, our favourite game was running round the playground flicking the girls bras open.

Have full control of my dreams. I normally let them play out but if something happens I don't like I say a keyword and can stop time, rewind and replay it for a different outcome.
Are you a practioner of Lucid dreaming?
I've wanted to try this myself but I CBA with the whole waking myself up then going back to sleep several times a night
Didn’t realise until I saw a documentary when I was in my thirties that this wasn’t normal.

I also thought that when, in a film, people wake up from a nightmare and sit up in bed and realise its just a dream - that was just some sort of artistic licence.

I’m aware I’m dreaming - if it goes down a route I don’t like I just change it.

I no longer have deja-vu though - anti- seizure medications completely stop it happening.
