Thank you, this is a perfectly timed thread. I have recently taken early retirement (and it’s rained most days since then!) I spent much of yesterday evening thinking about things I would like to do with my time.
There must be more to life than watching Homes Under The Hammer …
You'll soon graduate to "A Place in the Sun". If you have Sky it will be on at least one channel at any given time of the day. There must be more to life than watching Homes Under The Hammer …

I had a serious illness back in 2013 and spent a lot of time watching daytime TV? Including lots of Homes under the Hammer. Started to make me think that death wasn’t such a bad outcome…There must be more to life than watching Homes Under The Hammer …
Running (very down at the moment as I've got an ankle injury that has stopped this for 4 weeks)
Road cycling (spent 90mins fitting a new Eagle F1 tyre to my wheel this afternoon, jesus TFC)
Clay pigeon shooting (renewing my gun license this year and annoyed at the doctor now charging to say I've never been to see them)
Camping
Really bad DIY.
I'd love to get back into Kayaking.

Another sim-racer here. My mates and I used to be into it way back around the millenium but we all grew up and I stopped doing any kind of gaming for a good decade or so. I went karting for the first time in years and it made me remember how much I loved that sensation of balancing a car on the edge of grip. Then COVID hit so I got a new PC and a race rig with triple monitors. I love it.
I got into smart home stuff a couple of years ago but I've got that mostly to a place I'm happy with now so that's somewhat plateaued.
I want to mount a tablet to my race rig and looking for solutions for that opened my eyes to the world of 3D printing. I've not pulled the trigger yet but I'm staring at the rabbit hole, have the green light from Mrs durbs and am just about ready to jump in
I quite fancy kayaking. I've done it a few times and always loved it but never considered taking it up as a hobby for some reason.
In fact, maybe if I got a 3D printer I could print my own

Walking Football, when the knees allow it. I may never light the pitch up but I enjoy the camaraderie. I was a Scout Leader and really enjoyed it till I realised I wasn't anymore, nothing to do with the youngsters, fellow leaders or the group. I realised that it was becoming a chore so I stopped (still got my 10 years service badge though )
I have my beloved Tranmere Rovers, and when Mrs Skodapondy is watching her (IMHO) terrible TV programmes I fire up the PS3 for a game or two (Gran Turismo, GTA V, RDR.) I'm on the lookout for some cheap copies of the Fallout games after I watched the series. Plus of course any form of motor sport that involves 4 wheels.
