Wouldn't want to sell Agger but we did buy Coates last year as cover for his injuries - not a bad replacement.

I'd much rather we were keeping our best players though - it hurts to get cherrypicked.
I went to OT last week and Coates had a mare, obviously he scored a great goal last season but defensively i'm yet to see anything decent. He would not be a long term replacement, however i'm hoping he'll come good for us this season.

It will bea travesty if we let Agger go and bring in Williams, Williams is dreadful in my opinion, the only thing he did well at last year was getting fantasy team points. Not a patch on dagger.

Swansea appear to be playing hardball regarding Joe Allen, 20 mil valuation!! Ridiculous mobey frankly, if we go anywhere near that price we need our heads looking at! (on Ssn)

Wouldn't worry about it then. We haven't sold anyone so we have little to spend........imo.

Aquilani & Kuyt must have got about 10m between them in the end? Maxi went free... Probs used that money for Borini though to even it out.

Allen is a good player, but not 15-20m good, would only be happy if he was under 10m to be honest.

And yes, where was my invite.

Kuyt was 1m, Aquaman was 7 I think.

Will be a bit miffed if we decided to play hardball over Sigi, but roll over to get Allen for whatever astronomical fee Swansea are demanding.

What happened to the agreement not to go for Swansea players? Was that just nonsense paper talk?

That stands I think, unless there's some kind of loophole. We could have bought siggi though as he was only on loan to swansea from Hoffenheim.

Also being reported in Spanish paper Marca.

Would be a good deal, hes a very good player just a shame for him that he got injured during Madrids pre season last season or he would have played a load more games for Madrid.

It just shows how much it meant to him for the fans (vast majority) to have supported him through all the race row and other bks. Kenny deserves some credit for sticking by him too. He clearly feels the love at Liverpool and he will continue to be a great player for us. I just hope he channels his aggression in the right way and tries to stay out of trouble now. People will be hunting to provoke him next season..
