Ouch indeed. Could be proven wrong once the Liverpool signings have time to grow up mind.

If you keep telling yourself that, you might end up believing it......but I never will. The sad thing is, if you supported Orient or Harlow Town I might take it more seriously, but your a Spud. One of the richest and biggest clubs in the country. Not as rich as my club, or Citeh, but still rich. Spuds regulaly delve into the transfer market and pay millions for players to get them away from poorer clubs. And you don't give this a second thought. Modric from Dinomo Zagreb I think it was. You didn't care what their fans thought. Your Spuds, why shouldn't you tempt Modric away. But then Modric is temped by even more money, and suddenly he's a rat faced traitor who has no loyalty. Isn't it odd that the millions your club has is an acceptable amount of millions, but the millions my club has...well that just obscene and ruining football. It's a bit delusional really.

It's more the fact that even though Spurs have spent money it's within their means. Whereas Chelsea haven't ever got near to breaking even since the Russian took over. It's his toy that he is bank rolling and without him you'd be stuffed

TtWK, I really honestly and wholeheartedly would not want to see a Citeh or Chelski'esque b disation of my beloved club. Leeds Utd, Huddersfield, WBA etc etc, Roman and his ilk could have chosen any of those clubs and they would have won what you've won, had the players you've had. So don't kid yourself that is was Chelsea that did it, enjoy it but don't credit CFC with it.

Ok Roman has invested well, but he was building on pretty damn strong foundations. We already had European silverware in the cabinet, and were already a Champions League side, and half of the"old guard" were already at the club. We wer always challenging for a top 4 place and playing some pretty decent football to boot. The big teams in Europe tend to be bankrolled by rich owners, your Morattis and Berlusconis, various parts of the Spanish Government and Sky TV. Ours just turned up later, at a time when transfer fees and wages were going through the roof (Figo for 37 million anyone?) so spent a bit more. We're pretty chuffed its happened to us, can you honestly feel you wouldn't feel the same? I mean if as the story oes, and Levy didn't laugh off Romans approach, and you had just won the biggest prize in European football, you wouldn't feel in the slightest bit happy? You seriously wouldn't want that?
