A couple more shots of Leicester Heavy Haulage's X1LHH mentioned earlier in the thread.
These were taken after I escorted it back in to the yard from Immingham docks

cool

I showed Paul these pics on Facebook last night. Some bit of kit that trailer, he uploaded a few shots of it loaded with an enormous prefab of some kind, looked immense! nuts

Saw a nice gaggle of H.C Wilson units out moving 4 enormous brewery vessels up the A1 earlier today. Some sight! biggrin

Got a winning shot of their newest wagon, European Dream (R620 Top), also. What a cracker! cool -

Took a quick photo of these three heavies from my back window,

Impressive machines when you don't see them too often

This was today's little job, just over 25m long and all up weight of just over 117 tonnes!

So if you came up behind a load & escort doing 21mph up the hills over the M62 towards Oldham this morning, I apologise.

The old Volvo FL6's I used to get lumbered with would only just manage 22 mph up there when laden, and that was at a mere 18 tonnes too, so 21 is fairly impressive.

This one was a little bit of a challenge yesterday, having to thread our way with the load down country lanes in the Peak District, all 145 tonnes or so of it.

Luckily, pretty much everyone we met coming the other way was considerate and competent so it went like clockwork.

Is that to the cement works on the A6? just near Buxton. Looks like the bend with the entrance & car park to me.

Interesting to see Allelys moving turbine parts, they move quite a few big train carriages about these days!...

Saw this being taken up the A1 on Monday afternoon. CAT 826H (IIRC) landfill compactor/bulldozer beast! -

That's a rig I would love to see. Seen several photos of JST FH units moving similar loads to that with the body of the machine positioned similarly on the trailer. Looks neat IMO!

Yet another wind farm is going up in my region and the smart fleet of Give Svaergods (Bill Livingstone Trans) can be seen moving the various parts along the A1 quite regularly at the moment cool -

Just thought this may be of interest to some - the new Mercedes Arocs SLT on German TV:

Nice!

Looks good that. Some load too!

Mercedes Trucks had a 6x4 heavy haulage spec Arocs tractor unit on display at Truckfest earlier in the year. Did look impressive I must say. Could easily see it suited to STGO work or pulling a big bulk ejector tipper or similar cool

Allelys moved a 600ton transformer out of Didcot Power Station last night. Thought i'd missed it but caught it as i drove home. Be rude not to stop and watch.

And a short vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqWoVeYtQXQ Watch at 4:55 the first pusher tractor gets lifted off the ground by the camber

The prime movers were a MAN V8 680bhp, MAN V10 660bhp, 2x DAF XF 510bhp

On the way down to the Sunday Service last weekend, I saw a huge load parked up at 6am in the "wide load" resting bay of the M6 junction 16 roundabout. Looked like a big bit of construction gear, and the hauling truck and trailer were bright red. what got my attentino was that the truck was not a road truck, it looked like one of those big all wheel drive forestry hgv things.

Anyone know what this was?
