OK, so not as heavy as a lot of the stuff on here - but I'd hate to have been the bloke filling out the risk assessment on this load!!
how does this work legally? I thought americans could only run to 38tonish with 5 axles. Its not like it couldn't have been devided down. I'd love to have a go at something like that though.BigRigVideos said:
Tyler out of Washington was carrying well over 250 bottles of Oxygen, nitrogen, Argon, Chlorine, Carbon Dioxide, Acetylene, Hydrogen, Propane and Helium. AND he has the scale ticket to prove it!

I have no idea why it wasn't split - but your weight question might be affected by the fact that the truck in the picture is running 8 axles not 5Not my pictures, but a ship I've sailed on- SSV Spirit of Massachusetts, 125 feet long overall and 90 tons. Being moved about a quarter of a mile through the streets of Portland, Maine by Brownell Systems.

It's not the escort vehicle that's reversing
Bit odd they chose to reverse the whole unit, surely the two tractors could have been turned & hauled the trailer in the opposite direction. Both units seem equally capable of pushing & pulling, unless the trailer has a definite "front" and "back"I didn't know until this week, that you can put over 40T on a flatrack (i.e. legally), if you can get hold of a superflat! Apparently (pinch of salt for the freight forwarder bigging themselves up!) in the rocking-horse poo category, and I've had to load five this week!
Mind you, getting the required qty of straps in place, over a relatively short case, was fun!

I wouldn't want to be near the drive chain if it snapped either!
Why do I think it's a Scammell?
Just had a shufty through the comments, and indeed it is apparently:Why do I think it's a Scammell?
"KD 9168, Edward Box's 100-tonner Scammell with a Beyer Peacock loco, passing through Warrington after loading at Gorton, Manchester en-route to Liverpool docks."
Apparently the truck and the train still survive
