I'm a bit thick at things like that so I will see if I can get someone to do it for me, by the way it's also for sale. ;-) Andrew

Have driven past this poor thing more times than I can remember and finally stopped to have a nose. Nothing particularly interesting, and in truth I have no idea what it is, but a short walk away there are about 10 other abandoned cars in various states of decay which is a little more interesting.

Bloody 814, I had the mickey taken out of me for weeks because of one of those. The starter motor died on one that I was using one morning but I desperately needed to use it so I convinced everyone that I could just run it all day and not switch it off.

Pulled up into a layby in Norfolk and leant across to the passenger seat to grab the map to see where I was supposed to be going, engine stop button is on the floor like the old exhaust brakes, I trod on it.

Bulletproof yes, a pain in the arse to drive, definately. Up hill or a head wind and you were knackered, and that was when they were empty! biggrin

hehe

Been there, done that in a bus-bodied 814! The only difference was that I'd been ordered by work to take it out despite the starting issue and I accidentally trod on the switch at one of the furthest points away from the yard. Not planned in any way, shape or form of course, no sirree.... whistle

winkCough , I did hear that when they first came out , if you hit the limiter then opened the tacho head there was a screw which if turned could enhance smiles per miles rapidly .

That will almost certainly be a Shelvoke and Drewry wagon then. They specialised in dustcarts and other niche lorries
