After nearly 12 years driving I decided to change direction and seek employment in another sector, in this instance on site hydraulic hose manufacture and repairs
However 8 weeks in and I'm starting to question my move, more hassle, stress and I seen my old truck yesterday driving through town and thought, you know what, it wasn't all that bad, no hassle, stress, money was good and it was an easy job.
Think I'm going to give this another month and if I still feel the same, may well go back to doing what I know best

Perhaps you've strayed to far from what you know? I swapped wagon driving for plant/machine operating. Same diesel smell, same fresh air, some (though not as much) solitude. I sometimes miss some aspects of life down the road, but i don't miss the stupid hours, complicated rules and impossible deadlines, and I certainly don't want to miss my children growing up; because that's something you can never get back. In truth, the memories are better than the reality.

OP, give it 6 months at least, you can always walk back into driving jobs.
