Was anyone here present at the retro truck show today? I was only there in passing and didn't really know what I was looking at. Old Scanias, Volvos, yank stuff, all this. The end was entertaining - everyone leaving and giving it some diesel power up the road.
Had a sit up in a new full size (?!) Volvo. Never been in anything like that. Pretty comfy up in there. Okay visibility but didn't like the mirrors. I like the space and the toys though. What's it like sleeping in there? A comfy personal space or do you get cabin fever?

I assume your referring to the new FH Globetrotter?
we have a couple of 63 reg's plus a 64 reg on bought last week.
They are very comfortable, no I don't get cabin fever because ive been sleeping in them on and off for 22 years, the cabs these days are more comfortable than ever.
Our 63 plates are Euro 5 spec engines, the new one is Euro 6, it is a far superior truck, my self, I drive the previous shape, which is a very competent truck.
The firm I work for used to specialize in Spain, but now we only do France and the Benelux countries.
I like to see old trucks, there's a certain romance about them, but, I have been at it to long to go out of my way to see trucks at weekends, there are two yearly truck shows near me, I wont even go to them.
As a point of interest, the first new shape FH we had was displayed at a truck show, it was one of the very first in the country.
