We've had tat that people stick on to their cars... but was was / is the the most ridiculous toy / gimmick that came from / you could specify from the factory? Be it a ludicrously overpriced pointless item (360 Stradale stripe springs to mind), or the adjustable light colours on the Mustang...

What gets your vote?

ETA: The Honda Element dog friendly package is my personal favourite.

The scented air fresheners some Citroen's have. Who would want an air freshener clipped to their vents?

Is it wrong that I find that quite unbelievably cool? Utterly useless, but amazingly cool.

Apparently to stop it skipping the needle was spring loaded so it pressed down onto the record hard. It would wear records out after only a couple of plays.

The pre-blanked grille of the Boss Mustang - yes, I know it was to evoke the 60s race look but IMHO, it just looks crap.

My Father's Audi in the 80's had headphone sockets in the rear and they were fantastic. On long journeys my parents could sit in peace and quiet while the children in the rear were kept entertained listening to radio 1.

Oh, I remember you could order the MK1 TT with a removable hardtop for the Convertible version, I seem to remember it was incredibly expensive and revolting to look at.
