On a Yaris.

Surely anyone should be able to park something that size without resorting to a camera? I take this back if this option was mainly aimed at people who have difficulty in turning their head/neck, rather than just being useless at parking.
Bloke at work has an Auris with that and reversing sensors, he still reversed into a car getting off his own drive hehe

Tape/CD/MiniDisc head unit in the Hyundai XG30 (I think)?
Minidisc's we're great. I still have all if mine and a Pioneer hifi with an MD player. Same quality and storage of a CD with track info also? Pretty good IMO. But you could rip CD's...

I can't find a shot of one in situ, but they were certainly available OEM.

Honda CRV shower option.

Might look useless, but if you regularly take a long-haired dog to the beach for a walk this is an absolute god-send.

Alfa 90 with removable dash suitcase?
I think that is one of the coolest things i've ever seen. The only thing to top it would be if an 80s still laptop (you know the 10kg of plastic with a 2 line monochrome dot matrix LCD) fitted in there.

That is really cool!
+1

Certainly cooler than the detachable handbags in the front doors of the Mk1 Cavalier CD

I believe that Bentley offered (and maybe still do) self-leveling wheel bosses, so the 'B' is always the correct way up.

Our Mondeo stops wiping when the car is stopped and idling in traffic, IIRC. Stupid.
Why? The volume of water on the screen will be less so dropping to intermittent or off stops them squeaking across the screen.

Citroen XM power operated central armrest lid. Gauranteed to take 10 x as long to open as if you did it using your hand!
It'd take a lot longer than that - not least because the power operation didn't open it, it was to adjust the height of it...

Honda offered something called the, "Road Rage Personal Attack System," which, disappointingly, wasn't inbuilt missiles to nuke people who'd cut you up but a 120 decibel panic alarm activated by a discreet button if someone attacks the driver.

My Golf does that. Total pain in the arse. Just let me set my own speed, VW.
