Road wear/life is calculated/measured/designed in "Million Standard Axles", a standard axle being an HGV axle at approx 7-8T. A 3T vehicle, running on (presumably) fat, 300+ section tyres, won't put much more load on the road than a 1.8T Volvo on 185 section tyres from the 1980s.
The additional wear/damage these things will do to the road is almost immeasurably small.
As I understand it, the wear/damage isn't proportional to pressure but load. If it worked on pressure a 100kg bike & rider rolling on 23mm/25mm tires would do more damage than an HGV, but we know that cyclists do so little damage that they can be discounted from any calculations! The additional wear/damage these things will do to the road is almost immeasurably small.
However, cars - even 3t cars - are also effectively negligible contributions; they outnumbered trucks by many, many fold but have you ever seen an outside lane with indented tracks?

I’m not sure it’s pitched as environmentally friendly. Or bought, by anybody, for that reason,
It’s a daft toy. I want one.
Small wheels - thank fk.
I wonder if you have to have all the daft Brent inside? It’s all a bit much. Surely they could save a bit of weight with all that nonsense.
They could charge more for it, if they liked. Just doesn’t matter at this end of the market. I’d pay ten grand NOT to have a the shiny lights and screens in the back.
If it’s a toy wouldn’t you prefer the G63? It’s a daft toy. I want one.

Problem for me is that G Wagons come with a very particualr image and I just couldnt
Choose the right colour, don't spec any of the shiny shiny and if you live in a normal house, in a normal area and aren't forever frequenting tacky venues or overwhelmed with the endless urge to paint the tops of railings gold then it's a non issue to be honest. One of the farmers out here has a blue 63 and it's a lovely thing. It's like a Jimny for grownups. Problem for me is that G Wagons come with a very particualr image and I just couldnt

If it gets 220 miles to a battery then it's around the same efficiency as my MG4, which either means Mercedes have done an unbelievably good job of SAIC have done an abysmal job.
Your MG4 certainly doesn't have a 116kWh battery in it(!), so the efficiency is very different Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
