I applaud you for your freedom of mind, I genuinely do.

And also for making such use of them, I never seem to find the time.

Back on topic, it doesn't sound too far removed from my newish garage below...

And some of my current contents...

The wall washers are Aurora, similar to this: http://www.electrical2go.co.uk/aurora-35w-rectangu...

and I used these twin-spot downlight fittings: http://www.ukelectricalsupplies.com/aurora-lightin...

And finally, GU10 LED bulbs from Sylvania: http://www.havells-sylvania.com/en/press-centre/sy...

The GU10 LED bulbs are awesome, 450lm which Sylvania claim are equal to a 65w halogen.
Thanks. I'm in the process of building my garage and been looking for some lighting inspiration

My very modest effort, panorama makes it look a little bigger than it is. Needs; re-plastering, a threshold put in place, painting, flooring and more lighting. First house, so money is short (in particularly so at the moment) so it might be a while before the above gets done. Just enjoying having a space.

Utility stuff is now cosy and hidden under the sink, the various furniture projects have been completed and the 70's Volvo is no longer with us. Also now have some stainless steel shelving units for my various tools, paints etc.

_Leg_ thank you for sharing the pictures, if I were in the same position I'd love to think I'd be exactly the same, I hope you enjoy to the full.

Leg - perhaps you should start your own thread, just posting highlights here.
I think what makes your garage interesting is the mix a super / classic / obtainable, hope to be in a similar position some day.
The one I don't understand is the M3, been mulling one over myself (as I'm currently fastcarless) but I can never make up my mind if it feels special enough... An V8 & great handling etc, but slightly too cosseting and large?

Feel free to reply else where

Understandable question and it has a story...

The business started, from the ashes of one where I had been an employee, in January 2007. I went into it with a st or bust attitude with a couple of partners. In March 2007 I ordered the M3. I had no idea how I was going to pay for it and recall thinking, 'fk it'.

I took delivery in March 2008 and paid for it cash after an amazing first year.

So, it has a lot of sentimental value.

Also, it's still like new and the £20 ish thousand I woukd get for it simply isn't worth what the car is.

And it's the only 'sports 4 seater' I have so useful if me and my sons go out together in the summer and I don't want to take a 4x4.

Not to mention it's the only car I have that's scares the st out of me. The others are so well balanced, even with all aids off, they're easier to drive fast. The M3 is a lairy bd that is trying to kill me.

It's also not quite standard. Tad more oomph and a modded exhaust. Sounds awesome.

:-)

I'm not far away then, only in Naburn. I dream of one day owning a collection like this one day. Sounds like you have further plans also.

Plans? Ha! Plans go out the bl00dy window mate.

So, the grey one was for sale by 911 Sport but on behalf of a client. He messed them about no end to the stage where they and I were sick of him so we pulled out of that deal today (although I had placed a deposit).

The guys at 911 Sport have been superb this week sorting things out and between us we have sourced and bought a white one. Its in the PH classifieds. Now definately bought and mine. Great thing is this one has full Paintshield coverage which I have on my other Porsche and my 458 Spider so Im very happy with that.

I did consider the white one at JZM due to its very low mileage but its from Hong Kong and I didnt want to risk future value with buyers being unhappy with that fact.

Its never boring eh!

Spec is:

Carrera White with Red Decals
5725 Miles
Porsche Carbon Ceramic Brakes
Carbon interior upgrades
Carbon door sill covers
Black Nomex Lightweight Bucket Seats,
19'' GT3 RS Centre Lock Wheels

Rear Roll Cage (Red)
Bi-Xenon Headlights
Clubsport Pack
PCM + Phone, Sound Package Plus
Universal Audio Interface
Cruise Control
Toptint Windscreen
Driver & Passenger 6 Point Schroth Racing Harnesses
Porsche Tracking System (Cobra)
Porsche Manufacturer’s Warranty July 2016
Full Porsche Service History

That's a fab thing, congrats...

Confession...so I immediately dipped into the classifieds and I never realised the RS was so much more than the regular GT3.

What's the reasoning for the differance, were they very limited numbers?

Limited numbers I think Bertie. More focused car, scaffolding etc etc. Plus its likely to be the last manual (Although we will find out later this year). Porsche prices have generally gone mad of late though, and Ferrari. The HAGI index recorded 23.8% growth in collectible Porsche prices last year. Insane but hopefully sustained. We will soon see. More fun than sticking it in the bank anyway!

Wierdly I really liked the grey one I was supposed to buy but people seem to prefer the white one. clearly I have st taste!

I'm an enthusiast first though. Must, not, drive, it, must, not, drive, it!

Garage build starts 22nd Jan. Wahoo!
