As I said, get over it.

Remember, the car is pretty light. And in the case of my particular car, that's not a vintage magnesium case; it's aluminum. And as you probably know, there's no oil pan down there on a 911 motor like on a wet sump motor would have. So it's a little less risky than it might be. And these days I don't use a jack at all. I came up with a better way.

I've been in San Francisco for a few days and happened (randomly) to walk past this garage in the pacific heights area...

But if you want to get the black car out, the red car has to come out first - better to have the lift half way up so the red car can go past it and not have to move non? (assuming it is long enough for that).

I'm presuming there is at least one other car out , hence the fact the door is up

I can imagine the case is bloody strong, but it's the first time I've ever seen a 911 jacked up like that, must be the best part of a ton all in one spot, interesting to know it holds up, but I doubt I'd ever do it...... Epic garage by the way, very envious

i've read a lot of jack's garage threads and, as seems to be a common theme, i bloody love it. love the layout, love the cabinets, love the colour, love that it was self built, absolutely head over heels with the car.

Me, I keep certain ones, in particular Motorsport and Octane where I have been subscriber for years. My wife has me keep them in the garage because they take up a lot of space - fair do's I suppose? Guess I could make a feature of them on a set of shelves... I really like those Costco cabinets they're just what I've been looking for to sort out my 'man cave' bit cheeky to ask but do you recall what sort of money they were Sorry I've not got Costco cabinets, someone else perhaps? Hi. That was me I think - sorry for the delay, just catching up with this thread again after a few days away... Not cheeky at all - they were only about £50 +/- £10 I think for both the wall cabinets and rolling ones with wooden worktop.
