Greg - The refresh looks really good! Is that an electric car charger I spy between the doors?
It is, i've got a BMW i3 for the commute.
Cool! I was looking at getting one of the free chargers, but more for future proofing.

...Rich - are those posters framed? I've got posters from the times I've been to Le Mans, but not sure on the best way to hang them onto brick, I'm guessing blu-tack won't cut it!
Glass & Clip (well Plastic & Clip to be precise) from eBay very cheap. There's 4 more on the other wall now... smile

Hanging off a couple of screws in the brickwork

Not sure if this has been posted before but there is a nice "man" house on Frank Knight at the moment which has

cinema
indoor swimming pool
bar
Table tennis and American pool, table footbal and arcade room
Shooting range shoot (in the house of course so you don't get wet).
Helipad
Tennis court
Squash court because everyone has a tennis court.

So given all this, what's his garage like? Worthy of on here, or falls at the last hurdle?

Worthy or not worthy?

Look at that sunset !
Just an epic house in every way. It's incredible. What a place to live. I could quite happily just live in that garage without ever going outside.

Apart from to use the games room, the pool, the shooting range etc etc.

One thing bugs me - why, when you have such a beautiful home, would you choose to sell it & move?
Most of those pics look like renderings to me, so I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't actually finished.

Paint the walls
Board the ceiling
Better lighting
Flooring
Insulated doors
Knock out the pillar, add a lintel and new bigger insulated door.

Yep, plan on those other than knocking out the pillar. The builder originally separated the two garages with a wall and I had to ask them to knock it down! Unsure who would ever want that?!

I will update when things get started. Painted floor will probably be first.

Other than cost, why would you not want to knock out the central pillar?

Not sure I'd paint the floor. My experience was poor.

Have some PIR lights inside so the lights come on when you walk/drive in.

That's a good idea.

My little "Badger Cave" suburban retreat is coming along rather nicely now.

The six-foot bigscreen all working in the corner now makes it easy to multitask and do work when there's motorsport on smile

I couldn't buy that pad , the shooting range hasn't got one of those shooting ranges with a target changer on a wire , fancy having to walk down and change the target from time to time....

Seeme that the Zonda in the pics is X20NDA - ex Group20 hire car, bought for £350k when they went bang. Not a bad investment then.....

Well the first photo above is taken from the kitchen smile The house is not big, but the garage is twice the size of the house almost.

From the "house" end of the building

And the "garage" end (The Prius ain't mine, it's my boss's, he sometimes dumps it at mine)

Fail. There's room for a car port to the left of the garage. wink
