OI what have you done with the special little spanner for adjusting SU carbs and the feeler gauges and the angled screwdriver for reaching distributors inside the wing of a Twin Cam or the special socket that only fits TVR otter switch housings etc. etc. Have you ditched them all?
They went soon after selling my Austin Healey 100/4 over 45 years ago. And I haven't used a rubber hose to tune my carbs since then either Lockhouse said:
My garage....apologies I'd already posted them in the "Garage Flooring" thread but someone suggested they'd be better here!
What flooring have you used please? Going to do mine this year - was looking at dynotile, but seen another one which also does skirting board finishers which looked quite cool, but heard a few bad stories about the latter tiles lifting. Thanks

Are those NewAge cabinets? If so, how do you find them?
Yes. They're the diamond plate ones. When I started looking I couldn't believe the price of some of the cabinets and sadly I was on a budget so that more than anything dictated my choice. They're OK, they do the job, they're not superb quality but at that price I didn't expect it. I'd recommend them on that basis.Paul O said:

My fantasy home: (entire) ground floor = garage, first floor = living space. Set a giant glass panel into the lounge floor, which meant you could look down at whatever was parked downstairs from above.
get outta my head. . . .although you should also have mentioned the firemans pole access from first floor to garage area aww999 said:

You had better move to Oz, Brisbane in particular.Thousands of "high set" homes, where the lower floor is a huge area, with a couple of roller garage doors in front, a laundry & stairs, with the rest parking or rumpus room.
Coincidentally my house is built like that, with the living area over the garaging. Thing is, it's built like that because it's near the river and when the Thames started flooding last year I had to make a decision about when to move the cars out! Mind you I guess in Australia you get bush fires instead.
Just completed a rebuild and rejuvenation of some barns. The guys have done a great great job.
This is "Mans workshop"
This is a general garage created from a room filled with steel and rocks, broken walls and very leaking roof!!
And here are the two garages now completed!!!
Very pleased with the results!!

Fantastic, but, what if you want the 599 out? Got to move some of the others and run them for a short time? Or do you take them for a good blast and park them outside. Popping to the shops would be a nightmare!
This questions sounds like the the owner has some kind of problem... 'Hmmm I need the 599 out but have to shift a few cars' 'OMG what to do' Slickhillsy said:
