When I lived in Essex there was an A4 diesel estate round the corner with exhausts, body kit, wheels etc from an RS4 - no badges though. There was also a diesel C-class badged up as a C63.

But I drive around in a Z4 with a "turbo" badge from a 1973 BMW 2002 Turbo on the back, so I'm not in a position to point fingers...

I like the idea of this, but the location of it makes my teeth itch.

I don't, but agree it should be in the 'correct' location if anywhere. The Z4M has a ///M badge to replace the Z4 badge, feels more at home.

I imagine it's been put there as a 'reflection' of the Z4 badge when it was there?

The turbo badge on the 2002 sits to the left of the boot lid. You can't go much further left on the Z4 due to the curb.

I did have an ///M badge on there for a week, didn't like it though.

I have an X5///M badge ready to rearrange and put on as ///MX5. Which will make me laugh but make everyone else think I'm a dick. Most likely will sell the car before that though.

That was the era of the BMW V8 wasn't it? No forced aspiration available (unless overfinch did this one and decided "yes. We need stickers".)

Correct. Literally the first year of L322, so BMW V8. AJ8 about 5 years later, AJV8 S/C came in 2009.

I suppose Barbie pink "V8 NA" doesn't have the same ring to it.
