Only a few GT4’s on the Porsche site and the few I’ve checked are listed at higher than original purchase price.
I have a MY2023 GT4 book price of £108k fully specd and don’t expect any real depreciation over the next 5 years for a car now discounted. I won’t be paying another £80k for RS version. Also a new GTS decent spec is £95k. I would of thought the GT4 price would sit nearer the middle of the two
It doesn’t matter what price cars are listed at, it’s what people are willing to pay. RS is a different car altogether.I have a MY2023 GT4 book price of £108k fully specd and don’t expect any real depreciation over the next 5 years for a car now discounted. The 718 gt4 is a great car at list to your spec. Mines been sold on twice since I sold it, last time it was retailed by a opc it was below list price. Depreciation is to be expected.

Lightly used gt4 rs cars are already trading in the £140k bracket, only downwards from here. I can see nice higher spec 718 gt4 bottoming out around £70k.

This is my GT4
Now it’s discontinued supply / demand will take over with no new cars coming to market.
High spec versions will continue to demand premium price point imo

But nowadays I can only go off my personal experience of selling the eight 2 to 4 year old Porsches that we have owned.
As a rule the porsche centres I have used have always looked to make £10 to 15k margin (less warranty and prep) on a car if taking it in on a Px.
Obviously the greater the value of the car and the larger their outlay and they will look to make greater numbers due to the higher risks involved.
If we use the gt4rs as an example and they way dealers seem to be slashing prices recently. Your Px figure is going to reflect this, personally I can’t see there being any great losses if you bought new, but if you bought at overs it may hurt a little if you need to sell.
The gt4rs is an interesting one, I’m shocked how quickly the prices have dropped from the early 200k mark. I personally thought they would have held better for longer.
Either way I personally think all new porsche Gt cars are a great buy at list, even if they have started to depreciate slowly.

Yea, interest rates slowed the market which caused price reductions. Interesting to see what spring / summer bring..But nowadays I can only go off my personal experience of selling the eight 2 to 4 year old Porsches that we have owned.

They must have been offsetting the profit in the spyder. The trade to retail spread with an OPC is usually £10k. So if he was offered anything £70k+ that’s generous.
If the GT4 is mint and can go straight into an OPC showroom I’d ring a few dealerships. They were actively buying stock last year but I suspect eased off now. Those online WBAC like portals are a waste of time for here cars. Give Joe at Supercar Sourcing a call. He buys and has customers waiting for certain models.

I guess a lot of people may choose to loose that difference for the sake of an easy sale but if the car still has OPC warranty then there'd not be much difference for the buyer looking at privately advertised cars at £69k vs via dealer at £74k but private vendor could make themselves £4k more..?
I'm looking to buy a car at around £65k - £70k max but currently thinking my choice is really 981 as there's no privately advertised 718's below £70k
