Just heard it'll be in next months Evo magazine, out early October, in their Icon series. I've seen the pictures and they are stunning...
Evo with the Silhouette article is out now in their December 2016 edition... they really liked, as they should of course.snapper seven said:
Yep, picked up my copy yesterday. Great article and the car just looks amazing. I'm glad Henry did the feature.
First time in almost 'ever' that I just picked up the mag from the shelf and went straight to the counter. Normally I have to thumb through it first.
Hope the Convoy II trip was good and look forward to receiving CAR to read that.
Just purchased my copy of Evo from WHSmiths today, and just to clarify, you're not looking for the sealed edition containg EVO and the Octane magazine which I nearly purchased in error, what you're looking for is the magazine 'EVO - THE THRILL OF DRIVING' featuring three decades of McLaren on the front cover, photo shown below:First time in almost 'ever' that I just picked up the mag from the shelf and went straight to the counter. OK probably not the best turn of phrase but for instance I was interested in how high end dealers differentiate between the tyre kickers and those who are serious punters. One of his approaches is to take clients to a nearby restaurant for a properly expensive meal plus fine wines etc., then when the bill comes, if the client offers to pay then he reckons that more often than not they are serious.
He also told an interesting story about how the other half live - a client who wanted to go to a party in the middle east wanted to arrive in style, so told his staff he'd take the 1932 RR Phantom. "But Sir" came the reply, "your Phantom is at your mansion in London" to which he replies "I didn't ask you where it was, just where I wanted to take it" - so a plane was duly chartered just for his car.

I saw this yesterday at auto italia, this is the first time I have seen a Silhoutte. The colour of the car is stunning and the colour of the wheels really compliment it. It was my favourite car of the show yesterday by a country mile.
I managed to get a few not very good phone pics I can upload if anyone wants.
