heebeegeetee said: DJRC said: No he doesnt as I said before. There are stories about Keke from his Williams days which make Kimi look a lightweight. Both Keke and Mika arent averse to swearing on camera either. As to possibly the greatest Finnish driver of them all...Juha...well, just dont go there. We'll have to agree to differ. I don't find Kimi the same as other drivers, Finnish or otherwise, at all. For me, Keke could be charismatic, Mika very funny, Juha possibly a combination of both, whereas listening to Kimi is like watching paint dry for me, but there you go. Manners cost nowt and they maketh the man, but for me Kimi seems to be without. And from my perspective, he doesn't deliver in the car enough either. Sorry Heeb, but the swearing thing, it wasn't tell Brundle to Fk off at all. Not AT ALL. The wry smile on his face when he swore made that obvious.

The wry smile on his face when he swore made that obvious. He fooled you then.

I get that people can have different views and opinions on things, there are just occasions when people get things fundamentally wrong. Which I feel you have. Brundle has stated he has been out with Raikkonen several times over the years, that he gets on with him very well and that he is a totally different person than what we often see. Raikkonen had no reason to be telling Brundle to F off.

Agree, great performance today. Shame Lotus weren't willing to use team orders to get Kimi past quicker........ the rate he was going he could have Jumped Vettel after the 1st stops.

Yay! Kimi is back! 4 races in and he completely out-raced Grosjean (who I rate due to all formulae performances apart from his first stint in F1), showed the composure he had previously and dry and boring as ever in post-race interviews. 2012 is looking very interesting indeed.

Terrific drive from Kimi. Two years out really don't seem to have done him much harm. That said, I think both he and Grosjean will get better as the season progresses. Hopefully Lotus can stay with the big boys in the development race.

Not a fan of Kimi at all, or of Vettell tbh, however it's good to see Lotus back on the podium after such a long time. Haven't seen a single lap of today's GP yet as haven't subscribed to the Sky F1 package.
However looks like I'm going to have spend some more money as the racing this years appears to be better than for many years.
What is going wrong with McLaren this year?

More of a surprise is Lotus-Renault pace. Kimi had a chance to overtake Vettel, but mainly due to the fact that he had fresher tyres in that stint(Finger used additional set in qualifying yesterday). At least it made those few laps interesting.

Great race today, Kimi doing a great job, just a rub of green away from the win, looking forward to Spa.

Don't get too many sitting on the fence when it comes to Kimi...
Still early days yet... But thus far he's performed as well as could be expected... Possibly better... Difficult to compare him against a relative unknown in Grosjean... Hopefully we'll see more of them both as the season goes on...
Overall, shaping up to be a good season of F1...

Here's hoping the team can call the right shots at the right time and use a little bit of nous to gain places next time. This isnt the first time Renault/Lotus have had a bit of brain freeze when it comes to big decisions.

This isnt the first time Renault/Lotus have had a bit of brain freeze when it comes to big decisions. But I suspect many drivers would drive to the similar level today. Plus Grosjean has been left for dead in those few races with Alonso in Renault, and that it is the only time we can compare him to another F1 driver(inside the same team).
