Tell me about it, how depressing If old age doesn't get me first I'll be there at Thruxton anyway! Oh sorry i can't help it im only 19 Rob austin is using the lenham engines the same as the vw, shame he is having so many problems just hope he can get it running for quali and the race. As for the weather well just went out to get some wet weather gear and it look like it will stop raining around 2pm so we could be in with some great racing tommorrow just like oulton last year with the changeable weather conditions. Quali up in half hour.

Rob Austin upon thy Twitter said: Great... Another duff engine! We will give it a go but don't hold out much hope that this engine is going to survive :-( Wookie are your engines behaving better this weekend? Or is this a Lehmann problem rather than solely RAR?

Gutted for Rob Austin, span off and hit the barrier at the end of the session. Looks like a fair bit of damage to the rear of the car. I hope the team can repair it in time for tomorrow.

At what point does rob austin decide btcc is costing too much? The team have a car with no driver, no team sponsor, the engines keep blowing and now they've got a seriously damaged car to sort out. They must be loosing money hand over fist.

Support teams had the chance to test at Thruxton but was a few weeks back - between Brands and Donington if I recall correctly. Not all teams attended.
