Wheels are Rota Kyusha in 15x7 (ET38). Tyres are Toyo Proxes TR1 (205/50/15).

I mulled over all sorts of wheels and different offsets, but played it safe in the end smile

Very nice. You actually see quite a few of these knocking about. I saw a modded one in Whitley Bay yesterday.

Cool things...eheel choisr works really well. This variant lives locally, only one of its kind I've ever seen.

Not a Cube, that's a Toyota bB Open Deck. https://www.motorbiscuit.com/the-toyota-open-deck-...

I do like that open deck Bb! Didn't realise that was a thing.

Nice having a practical car again though. Managed to slide the rear seats forwards and fit all 4 wheels + tyres in the boot stacked up.

Top work.

There's a Cube local to me, lowered and wearing Ronal Teddy Bears! Not really my scene but good to see around.

Strangely, the original Cube wasn't particularly cube-like compared to the later generations.

I've seen a pic somewhere with the Ronal Teddies fitted to one. Last time I saw those they were on a Polo Breadvan smile

Giving the stereo some more thought. £699 for a carplay/android auto headunit seems pretty expensive (fitted). Does that sound about right? I've no idea how much these things cost as I've never replaced a stereo in a car before.

The head unit you are considering is £400 from Dynamic Sounds https://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/pioneer-sph-da77da...

It looks like the unit has already been changed and the chances are you'll be able to Unplug old unit and plug in new without any wiring changes if its an ISO plug. May just need a DAB aerial.

So yeah, I think that may be a touch on the expensive side.

Tried convincing the missus to get one of these, didn’t work though and we ended up with a 20th Anniversary Toyota Estima instead.

I’d have a go and fitting the head unit myself if it meant saving the guts of £300 quid!

Think I'll give it a go myself then. I'm quite practical so I'm sure it won't be too difficult (famous last words!).

I fitted a pioneer android carplay into my Stepwagon.

It wasn't plug and play but if you take your time and I.d the wires it's not hugely difficult to do.

Put a sunstrip on the Cube smile

First time I've ever really attempted one and it turned out ok, although not perfect!

I've also got a stitched steering wheel cover to go on this weekend. That might take a few hours of tedious sewing!

Cheap and cheerful mods at the moment due to needed house repairs....

Had a bit of a drive up Rivington last night to see if the northern lights would make another appearance.... they didn't. Missus insisted on staying till about 11:30pm still smile

I also had a go at another thing today. Ordered a stitch on steering wheel cover after seeing a few of these. It's the first, and last time I'm ever trying this!

It took just over 5 hours of sitting in the car to get it to this stage and it's no where near perfect. To be honest it wasn't a great fit, but it looks ok and feels good smile

Absolutely sweated buckets doing this too haha.

Think I need to start looking into sorting out a headunit for it soon. Doesn't need to be an expensive brand but I need to figure out what cables I use to get it all working (including the reverse cam).
