Hello,

I've changed the rather horrible standard wheels on the 911 for a nice set of BBS CH-Rs. Great, right? Well...except now it looks like a 4x4!

I'm not sure what to do; my driveway is steep, and my local Shell garage is even worse! It already scrapes, so what do i do? I could fit springs, because they are a cheap and quick solutions, but then it seems a bit '' for a Porsche. It would also mean replacing the chin spoiler a lot!

The other hand is going for some sort of coilovers with a front lift kit, but they are darn expensive for what is a daily driver which won't see the track. However, it will save the spoiler and probably result in a nicer driving car.

Are there any suggestions? I have quickly found KW V3s with a lift kit, but you're talking £8k?! I've never really looked into the modifying scene for them before, so would be grateful for any tips on suppliers and specialists (i'm in Kent).

Cheers
Rob

not really, they are quite heavy rims and also if it looks like a 4x4 the wrong size now :-)

What size wheels and tyres have you fitted? If they are stock sizes they shouldn't look any different.

I also thought the car sat a bit high, but now the wheels are silver i think it draws more attention to the large arch gaps compared to the sort of shadow chrome finish of the standard wheels.

Interesting; later today i found out about Cargraphics' kit which works with B16 coilovers - the same thing?

How would you describe the ride, as i have other cars if i want to break my spine?

Interesting that you didn't go for centre locks. My father is looking at Gen 2s and wanted a fully loaded one, but without the centre locks! Imagine it is quite hard to find a Turbo S with that spec though...yours must be a rarity smile

It looks a bit high, did you take the pics after a drive to settle it down after jacking it up ?
