top of Devil's Beeftub Moffat thick cloud on the ascent and descent from Moffat but clear and reasonably dry the other to side to and from Edinburgh. Still one of my fav roads despite being in poor condition in spots.
I used to be up there a lot, I've not been up for a while, I'll have to get back up there this year.Progress with the cx500, managed to get it to the point where it was time to get the engine back into the frame.
When I was taking the engine out I made a simple u shaped wooden stand that the trolley jack fits under so I could easily support the engine while I was taking it out.
Putting it back in was a bit more fiddly but far better than lifting the engine without the jack.
Next job is finishing the wiring for the new Hall effect ignition system, then refit everything I’ve taken off to paint.
I really needed some "me-time" today, so I took a nice warm-ish ride out to the Black Swan (aka Mucky Duck) in Ockham, not far from the A3/M25 junction in Surrey. On the second Sunday of each month they have a classic car/bike meet, nothing formal nor themed, just somewhere to meet up and chat. There were not too many bikes, quite a lot of Mod scooters tho.
I didn't get a very scenic parking spot there, so here's one from my back lane!

Very nice bike and mods. I very nearly bought one of these over winter and hope to do so in the near future. Haven’t ridden one but really enjoyed my time on a baby blade, just as an ownership proposition it wasn’t special enough. Reckon the sssa and v4 should fix that.
