I though lt it a little odd there was no mention of the bike or title sponsor on the Irwin announcement

Seems fairly clear on the bike manufacturer at least.
Ah ok, the clip I saw just said Irwin and pbm with no bike mentioned ….

Think it will interesting to see if the team work as well this year…

Haslam confirmed as racing for BMW under ROKiT Haslam BMW, a new team formed by Leon and Ron with support from ROKiT and BMW Motorrad
Racing 'for BMW', or racing on a BMW ?
On a BMW with some factory support by the looks of it. The title sponsor obviously links back to the factory WSBK team.
It’s run by SMR, so part of the WSBK team
Does that make it a second factory team alongside FHO?
This was the point of my question....
Whilst FHO are the officiall factory supported team in BSB, i am fairly sure Haslam is getting some unofficial factory support for his team.

Is here the best place to discuss the 2024 season?

If so, I see Kyle Ryde did a 1:27.65 at the official Donnington test on the weekend vs 1:27.59 BSB record which Haslam set last year.

GIR was 0.5s slower in 2nd. Andy at 0.8 back just slightly faster than Bridewell. 1.23s slower for Haslam in 10th.

Obviously only testing but looks fast and also nice and close.

Ryde generally goes well at Donington too (I know you've already said its only testing etc).

I still think GI has to be a shoe in for the title this year barring any accidents or mechanicals. Same bike as last year with all the data from last year too.

Shame for Zak Corderoy who was down to ride their second bike but is out due to injury apparently. Some people just seem to have bad luck.

Reigniting of the bad blood between Seeley and Kennedy?

Personally I love a bit of needle between the riders. I don't think Seeley will have the edge to challenge for the championship or trouble Kennedy this time though.

Depends upon how good the Binch R6 is and how good the new CBR600RR is, if Binch have their bike tocking and Honda don’t, maybe Seeley will be able to trouble him. First round is going to be an odd one as nobody has raced there before but the rest of the season could be immense

Potentially a massive year for Kent this year, he was doing okay on the Fireblade last year and now he has the more preferred R1, he will mix things up big time.
I reckon this year you can pick anyone from this list to win races
Vickers
Ryde
Kent
Bridewell
O'Halloran
Haslam
irwin - both

With Cook, Harrison and Jackson to spring the odd surprise

Skinner will be in there too I think. I think O’Halloran will struggle a bit to be top 5.

I had forgotten Skinner and looked like Hickman and Brookes not too far off either.

I still think it will be Glenn Irwins championship to lose but the OMG boys, Kent, Honda UK, FHO, ROKiT BMW, Skinner and O Halloran will have something to say about it.

Going to be a great season i think
