Sneek peak of the new Leven Bonnet stay

I took a similar approach, deciding that a central vertical stay was the best answer. The horizontal rod was reinforced with aluminium channel araldited on so it was much more rigid. My design kept the central tab downwards. The lower end fitted into a simple aluminium bracket I made and fixed under one of the swirlpot bolts. When not in use the stay swung back to its original clip.
