Don't you just love TVR electrics.

On the way to west mid wales the other week I tried the washer, while the wipers were working. Result - they stopped. So next garage get, some fuses and looking at the book, replace fuse 15, wipers and main beam flash. In the wet, with a hot heater pipe not easy. Fuse 15 looked okay and replacing it did not help.

The Saturday we did a few hill (beacons) in the Austin 7 which BiL had delivered for us.

Sunday in the dry I had another look, the connector to the screen wash bottle was full of water, so that might explain a fuse blowing, but which one? Rather than try all miles from home it was left until today.

Using a multi meter showed the fuse to be okay and volts were getting to the Wiper relay (Relay 9-43).

A combination of Steve's Bible schematic, which has the labels, the RV8R.co.uk schematic which is clearer but doesn't label the fuse connections, and Steve Parker's alternative part list which gave David Spenceley's fuse box tracing, it was found that M-75ak must not be live - yes fuse 17.
Pulling 17 showed it to be blown and replacing it gave working main beam flash, wipers and radio.
In my (SE) handbook it is labelled as Speed sensor, brake light and reverse, but they were working. Rv8R.co.uk has a layout for a 93 Chimaera and shows Fuse 17 as 20A to "Ign to Column".

So although it might have been quicker to just pull each fuse, it is useful to know I need to follow the Chimaera fuse layout in future. yikes

One hint should have been the use of a 20A not 10 fuse, but who knows what a previous owner may have done? Anyway wipers now working.
