Hi Pete, can you confirm folded edges are same and corners welded? Thanks, Phil.

Hi My250GT, the edge 'returns' are identical to the originals. The corners are not welded (my one was not) as there is no need. The way I have them formed means a neat perfectly mating corner. The previous batch of 10 I had made for the local TVRCC lads were like this. A point of note, my original mild steel tray was not welded on the corners, just full of paint and gunge! Regards, Pete

Pete, fantastic job. Just for info the attached photos of one of my plates that has been sandblasted (a few months ago, hence surface rust). This is for a 95 Griff 500 and confirming what Pete says that the corners are just folded not welded. Hope this adds a bit of clarity. Pete

Many thanks Pete, saved me having to post pictures. My stainless version is identical to the original, no need to be different, as far as I was concerned it does the job. Just as a note; I am also in the process of sourcing the rubber 'donuts' that go between the exhaust mounts and the tray via the three 60mm bolts! That way it would be a complete replacement kit. Regards, Pete

Hi guys, the rubber 'donuts' will be £2.10 for a set of 3 pairs as required on the Griff & Chim. Once I have finalised the cost of the trays & fixings will add this to the total. They are from a specialist exhaust parts company that supply all the rubber mountings to the trade! Regards, Pete

Pete, that's a no-brainer. At that price, please can you add a third set to the two sets that I hope you will supply with the two exhaust mounting trays.

Would it be cheeky to ask as you've gone to all this trouble, whether you have a supplier for the three bolts, penny washers, nylocs etc. plus the 6 17mm bolts plus spring washers in stainless. It would seem a pity to put that beautiful stainless tray on with the old bolts. If you can and want me to measure them all, I'm happy to do that or have I missed a thread and you were planning to do that anyway? Pete

Hi Pete, all the fixings are taken care of, I believe I mentioned this. I use 25mm for the 6 chassis rail bolts, large washers included for either end of the rubber donuts (supply these larger ones for all fixings). Also, there will be a strip of 3mm neoprene foam to go along the tray on the mounting edge, this is to stop any resonance. Regards, Pete

Hi guys, just to confirm that I have had back quotes today for a batch of laser cut stainless blanks, A2 stainless fixings and rubber donuts, plus the neoprene foam seal. I will then need to get the blanks folded to produce the flanged edge. The complete kit ready to fit will be £58.50, hope that is OK. Of course that does not include postage for those wishing for it to be shipped. To save me hassle collection or other arrangements are preferred, but I am sure we can come to some arrangement. I shall be sending an email to all those on the list shortly regarding payment. Best regards, Pete
