Wildcat Rover V8 in Mod Griffith chassis

Thanks Phil.
Next - sorting out wiring, cutting out old ecu wiring and connectors, water leak, wiring for new electric ps pump and PS pipes, more work on the map. Any odd jobs for an MOT as the car has not been on the road for a few years then a fully mapping session. Might need to uprate the standard rad at some point too .. as I have just taken the easy route by adding 2 huge fans.

This chap is my racing Hero http://www.hansenproducts.co.nz/sponsorship/racing... ran a wildcat engine similar to this one and it was considered to be the fastest TVR Tuscan ever built by some considerable margin, north of 600BHP the rumours said. The car now runs a ford but if you google Carl Hanson there is a ton of stuff about his wildcat engine out there. Happy new year Tony looking good
This is what the car looked like when it had the wild cat engine in, if you are googling.....................

The results of web search

Australia based Ian Wilson TR8 Race Car Wildcat Rover V8
Steve Green Mk1 Cortina Drag Race Car Wildcat Rover V8

There are cars out there running Wildcat Rover V8 but a lot are racers and racer normally keep engine specs and power and torque figures to them self's.
I wonder why?
If anyone out there has more information on Wildcat Rover V8 engines specs, power torque outputs or photos please add.

That N0 56 MGB is a very impressive piece of kit/driver combo, as its been to a couple of sprints we've been in. From memory he said it was a reliable 425 brake, he can drive a bit as well!
I talked to him a few years ago at the Brighton Speed trial - it runs a 268 cam .. very hairy. Sounds fearsome....and so is, was Steve Green's Cortina even if it had gas.
For those that have not see his '7-second' Cortina;
