I would call that a result ! Power of the forum and all that....

Yesterday, when returning from Spa, temps were rock steady at 80ish on mine

(glad you got it sorted !)

I have owned many high performance cars over the years, but I have never visited a builders merchant quite so much for any of them!
I fitted two, one at the trailing edge of the air intake just making a little lip, and the other at the rear which matches the OE principle and causes an engine compartment depression.
I did a long run down to Stansted on the M11 and temperatures have been drastically reduced.

Nice job and now you know why TVR opened up the nose on the 500’s.

I hope your builders merchant isn’t too far as the ventilation ducting is linked together with sink plumbing and the glove box catch is a loft catch, at least their will never be a shortage of parts. There is also a surprising number of Rover Mini parts; interior light, ashtray, bonnet pull and even the wipe motor and horn look the same.
Good Luck & Enjoy

This could be interesting as for years people have been having to get their motors repaired (not cheaply either), and issue with worn teeth and reverse fixing parts etc......
