Ordered an aluminum dash from Pete. Pete was great to deal with, throughout the manufacture, keeping me upto date with the process, sending pics and keeping me informed. It is a high quality product, highly engineered by Pete and much improved over the TVR original. Straight forward to fit, just a little fettling required. Pete even sending me some extra tape when I was struggling to secure the heater control panel. The end result is just what I was looking for. The only issue I have had is the lacquer on the dash keeps showing marks. The marks clean off easily enough but return after time. The solution will probably be to polish off the lacquer. As this was the first aluminum one that Pete has manufactured, I think they are a great result and would recommend them to all. Thanks Pete.

Did you do any mods to the Araldite and bodge fixings on the back of the original dash?

I had mine out and painted it a few years ago after all the wood came away. Unfortunately it needs doing again as I have a dirty great thumb print in the paint :-( (put it back too soon without waiting for paint to harden fully - but had a ferry to catch)

I am planning on doing something similar to this in stainless.

Hi Mark, I'm the 'Pete' that designed the 'Pete Dashes'! I designed out the nasty stick it and bodge fixing of the switches and instruments, look up my earlier post last year or article in October 2014 Sprint or look at post recently by GlynMo. Mine is a laminated design with mounting plates for the switches. I previously made wooden veneered items, but after enquiries from three guys came up with an aluminium swirled type. Stainless would be no problem as it can be easily laser profiled, but would be quite expensive. Regards, Pete

Very nice metal dash by Pete but still prefer the original TVR Walnut imop.
Now needs the panel light display highlighted with the plumbers tape process as invented.

Hi EGB, I too prefer the walnut veneered dashboards, hence me designing the 'Pete Dash' to fit into my retrimmed Griff last year. There was a thread going a few weeks back reference the new 'lamp panels' produced by I believe Jeboa (not 100% sure). I had one of the new ones when I made my dashboard. Let me know if I can help any time with a new dash! Regards, Pete
